Oh, McQueen, your genuis will be missed.


McQueen's final line, RTW Fall 2010, was presented today during Paris Fashion Week. The line of 16 show pieces was unleashed on mannequin at the headquarters of luxury titan Francois Pinault. The presentation had a most ominous and spooky ambiance, with eerie operatic music and references to angels, broken skulls and religious themes . Spectators were said to have been teary eyed as the finale dress entered: a grand coat of gold feathers that ended in a froth of embroidered tulle. In each of the pieces we come to sustain how much McQueen's genius will be missed. What I LOVED about each piece was the evident inspiration from McQueen's love for the Renaissance art, with a nostalgic touch of the Victorian Era.
